Essentially BVXP develops antibodies for use in different blood testing machines manufactured by the big names: Roche, Siemens, Abbot, etc. He goes into detail about BVXP antibodies types, and why they’re different – perhaps better, than other antibodies.
BVXP sells antibodies (20% revenue), is paid a royalty paid for each blood test around the world (75% revenue. (5% of revenue comes from pure research, commissioned by companies in the field).
The cost and knowledge to of develop antibodies can either be shared by a partner, as in Siemens with Troponin, (where Siemens have a wealth of research and experience in heart disease, and specifically Troponin); or can be purely BVXP funded and developed.
